Glossary definition

Inbox warmup

Inbox warmup is a cautious ramp period where a mailbox builds operating history before it is treated as ready for normal prospect traffic.

How GTM Inboxes uses this term

GTM readiness can include warming inboxes when other required signals are present, but export and launch behavior still follows readiness and seed-placement gates.

Warmup is not launch approval

Warmup can be part of a cautious operating model, but GTM does not frame it as ban immunity, inbox-placement proof, or a substitute for launch gates.

What to pair it with

Pair warmup with DNS checks, SMTP and IMAP smoke tests, readiness reports, seed-placement evidence, and conservative capacity planning.
